After finishing medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr. Ryu completed his internal medicine residency, where he was appointed to be the chief resident, and his subspecialty training in nephrology at the University of California Irvine Medical Center. He started his practice in California in 2001, then moved to Las Vegas, Nev., in 2005.

Dr. Ryu started with clinical research in 2009 as a principal investigator and participated in several Phase II-III trials, both CKD and ESRD.

Outside work, Dr. Ryu loves to travel with his family, and in his free time, enjoys playing golf.
